Well, today's the day. In about nine hours I'll be on my way back to Kingston. I'm REALLY excited.. so excited that I'm actually having one of those Christmas Eve type issues where, the earlier I go to bed, the faster it will be move in day (well technically it already is but you know what I mean), but its not quite bedtime yet. It'll probably take me a while to get to sleep anyway.
I'm currently watching an episode of Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman. This one is about time travel, and its extremely interesting. I've been asked what I would do if I could go back in time, and my answer usually is that I would not go back in time at all. Not because I'd be afraid of fucking up the future, but because I dont think I have to. I feel content with the things I've seen in life, and dont think that I have to go back to witness major historical events to achieve satisfaction with my life. I also wouldnt re-live any point in my life because I feel as though it would ruin those moments for me, because at the time of my experiencing them, I'd lived those moments to their fullest extent. I'm basically content with everything in life as it is and am enthusiastic for the future. Pretty much like the last Act of the play Our Town, which I hate but goddamn its message makes sense. Also this.
Anyway, I'll post again on the flipside.
BTW, The pic from below was taken in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
I'm 19 years old, and a sophomore in college. Here I type about stuff I do.

Quick Update.
My desk, which used to be home to my xbox and tv is now bare, leaving only my lonely computer, which will soon be gone tomorrow morning. Now that everyone I know is out of town, the saddest part about leaving is my empty desk and quiet room. 0_0
EDIT: Downsides of packing the day before- NO XBOX. I also found like three or four shots worth of vodka in a shoebox that I completely forgot about. Now that all my stuff is packed I cant really open everything up and try to hide it without looking suspicious to my parents.. Time to visit the local dumpster. :/

THE LAST DAY.
Well, today is the last day of Summer Break 2010 for me. It has been absolutely amazing, possibly the best summer ever. I say that every summer, but still, its been fucking awesome.
This last week I've spent here in my hometown reminds me a lot of a game for the Nintendo DS called, "The World Ends with You". I no longer have it but was playing it last summer after someone recommended it to me as a good buy. To make a long story short, the game is about a spiteful boy who dies, is sent to an alternate plane of existence called the underground, and is given seven days to complete tasks given to him by the creators of the underground, The Reapers. His prize for completing the tasks before other 'players' without fail is to be brought back to life.
It's kind of similar because when one goes to college, especially an out of state college, its like living two different lives (as opposed to being dead). So the last seven days are like the countdown until the switch, and the tasks are packing all your shit and preparing and stuff. heh. Possibly my favorite scene in the game is the title screen of the last day, which simply said "THE LAST DAY" in big text. On my last day of summer last year, it just popped into my head, as it did when I woke up this morning.

Everything is going to the beat.
This is what it looks like to be mostly packed for college. For some reason I feel like this is a lot less containers than last year, which is weird because I have more clothes.
I think my P90X strength allowed me to force my clothes into the boxes with my fists more effectively.

You know what they say about big hands..
Well, here we are again. Heading back to college again in two days. This time its significantly less scary and significantly more exciting. Tomorrow is packing day, Sunday is the day for my parents to pressure me to do well, and Monday and I'm outta here. The last three days before leaving college are pretty much the only three days that I actually cant wait to get out of town. With all my friends out of town and my parents nagging the shit out of me, the last thing I want is to be here. College offers an answer to pretty much all my problems, I get to see my friends and I'm rid of my parents. The roommate and I have a sick room plan setup designed for ULTIMATE GAMING, or basically just both of us bringing xboxes and tvs.
Yea, long story short I'm pumped. Gonna go back to pokemon and watching movies.

Oh yea.
This is a great song and music video. I highly suggest you get the song and blast it with your windows down while driving around downtown, as I do quite often.
Heading back to school.
Well, I return to college in the next few days. Its very exciting; I get to see all my college friends again, but at the cost of leaving my home town, which I love, and missing my hometown friends, most of which have already left for college. It's strange being one of the last to leave. You'd think, "Sweet! I have two more extra weeks of summer than everyone else!" but its nothing like that. It's more just sitting around and waiting for your time to come. In my case, its a couple of my friends who are still here, and I, hanging out, gaming, and cruising around our once again quiet town. What adds to this effect is the fact that the local high schools all started class today, bringing a very nostalgic feeling with it. Its like the volume of the place just went down a few notches; to be honest its even a little sad, that the kids who make the town what it is are gone, or leaving very soon.
Dont get me wrong, I fuckin' love college, but the town I live in.. its just something else. It's as much a part of all my friends and I as we're a part of it.
At least I can represent well in college.. heh
